If there is a gas gauge problem in the vehicle, there is no need to panic as there could be several reasons behind this. The failure of voltage to sending unit, corroded wiring or sensor level is few major troubles which are common among people. One needs to identify the difficulty before moving ahead. There are different types of troubles that may cause troubles in fuel measure. Defective voltage regulator or voltage limiter, lost of ground at sending unit or shattering of wires that are going to dash are some other troubles that may cause troubles in fuel measure. Check the temp measure very firstly, the temp measure use the same voltage limiter that is used by fuel measure. If the temp weigh is working properly, check the fuse. Chances are higher that the fuse is blown out. If the fuse is good, then there could be only two reasons of gas gauge problem, bad limiter or ground lost. After checking all the things, it is time to check voltage limiter. One can easily find the voltage limiter at the back of cluster, if one can not see the voltage limiter, it is better to remove cluster. Make sure to disconnect battery while eliminating the cluster.
