Refreshed version of Hero Honda CBZ to launch soon

Hero Honda, India's largest two wheeler marker and seller to launch a refreshed version Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme by the month of October, 2010. The Popular Hero Honda CBZ will be blessed with new graphics and stickers on the body and will be few changed in the extra muscles of the bike.

The New Hero Honda Xtreme will be equipped with rigid GRS (Gas reservoir suspension), innovative anti kick back device which keeps secure the bike. The self and kick option, amazing body graphics, big and strong disc brake at front and five spoke alloy wheel features will be in the bike.

The rigid bodied Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme will not comes with changes in the engine and chassis. The present bike has Aircooled single cylinder 4 stroke OHC engine which has displacement of 149.2 cc. The powerful and fuel efficient engine of the bike churns out maximum power of 10.6 KW (14.4 PS) at 8500 rpm and belts out top torque of 12.8 N-m at 6500 rpm.

There are no changes in the wheels, tyre size and fuel tank at present the bike has 240mm Front Disc and 130 mm Rear Drum brake and tyre of the bike are front is 2.75 x 18 – 42P, Rear is 100/90 x 18 – 56P. The fuel tank capacity of the bike is 12.3 litres with 1.5 ltrs reserve it also will same. Instrument panel of the bike will same as present.

Hero Honda has already rolled out its festive season initiatives, with the launch of four new models – the all-new "Passion Pro" and three refreshes of its existing models a self start version of Splendor NXG, Hero Honda Hunk, CD Deluxe, CD Dawn, Pleasure and now going to launch new CBZ Xtreme. During the coming months, the company will further augment its product portfolio with new launches across segments.

The company is getting good response in sales from the market and its second quarter (Q2) this FY stands at 9,72,095 units – a growth of 28.5 per cent over Q2 last FY (2007-08). The cumulative sales for the first six months (H1) stands at 18, 66,339 units of two-wheelers compared to 15, 59,486 units sold in H1 in the last FY – reflecting a consistent 19.7 per cent growth in cumulative sales.
